The REP Fitness Competition Bumper Plates (KG) are top-tier bumper plates specifically constructed for Olympic weightlifting and cross-training/HIIT workouts.

With its low bounce distinction, these bumpers also have zinc-coated steel disc insert and extra inner steel ring that enhances force absorption and dispersion. This construction minimizes the wear and tear, guaranteeing the plates’ maximum durability.

Additionally, the bumper plates are designed with raised lettering and a rubber surface around the center disc to reduce metal-on-metal contact, preserving both the plates and your barbell. Tested to withstand over 30,000 drops from an eight-foot height, these competition plates adhere to International Weightlifting Federation standards – offering a strict weight tolerance of +/- 10 grams (0.25%).

These plates are also color-coded according to IWF standards for easy weight identification: red (25kg), blue (20kg), yellow (15kg), and green (10kg). This makes it effortless to track the weight on the bar during fast-paced training sessions.

Limitations and Indications:

    • The safe and proper use of this product is the user’s sole responsibility. TheRack.Co assumes no liability for any damage, injury, or accident from using this product.
    • Please read the directions, and safety-and-warning instructions before using this product.
    • When bumper plates arrive, unpack them and let them air out for a few days to allow any odor, however faint, to fade.
    • Loading bumper and iron plates on the same barbell is not recommended, as their slightly different diameters can cause all the force from drops to concentrate on the larger plate, leading to faster wear on both the plates and the barbell, making it best to use plates of the same type together.
    • To extend their lifespan, try to drop plates as close to straight down as possible. If your bar collars get loose during a workout, try to retighten them so your plates always land straight up and down. This will lessen the sideways force on the bumper plate insert. Also, flooring with some type of give (like heavy-duty rubber mats or a weightlifting platform) will help absorb some of the impact from dropping the plates.
