The Athena functional trainer features a 2:1 pulley ratio, meaning lifting 20lbs feels like 10lbs. Each weight stack is 170lbs per side, effectively feeling like 85lbs, with an option to upgrade each stack to 220lbs, which feels like 110lbs. The hot-rolled steel plates ensure precision with a 3% tolerance, and the magnetic pin allows for quick and easy weight adjustments. The light and smooth trolleys can be easily moved with one hand, yet are robust enough to handle heavy weights.
The integrated band pegs on the base and headplate allow for the addition of bands, providing up to a maximum of 540lbs of resistance. The high-quality 106” cables are compatible with various attachments beyond the included detachable urethane D-handle, enabling a wide range of exercises to target different muscle groups for a full-body workout. The strong aluminum front pulleys feature a 180-degree swivel, making it perfect for exercises outside the rack.
